Yuri Boyka is trying to turn his life around after his time in prison. He dreams of building a professional career as a fighter and has big ambitions. However, a tragic accident during a major fight changes everything. In the fight, he injures his opponent, Viktor, so severely that Viktor dies. Boyka is shocked and filled with guilt. He learns that Viktor leaves behind a wife, Alma, and children. To cope with his guilt, Boyka decides to go to Alma and help her, even if it puts his career and freedom at risk.
In the town where Alma lives, Boyka discovers that she is being exploited by Zourab, a criminal who runs an illegal fight club. Alma is forced to work for Zourab to pay off her debts. Boyka wants to help her and offers to fight for Zourab. But Zourab sets tough conditions: Boyka must win multiple fights to earn Alma's freedom. Boyka enters brutal fights against strong opponents. He not only wants to win Alma's freedom but also prove to himself that he is more than just a violent man. Meanwhile, he struggles with the question of whether violence is the right way to make up for his mistakes.
After many fights, Boyka faces Zourab’s most dangerous fighter. This is an all-or- nothing battle. If he wins, Alma will be freed. If he loses, everything will have been for nothing. During this fight, Boyka learns more about Alma's difficult life. He grows to respect her courage and feels even more responsible for helping her. Boyka wins the final fight, despite suffering serious injuries. However, Zourab tries to betray him even after his victory. Boyka manages to stop him and finally gives Alma the documents that guarantee her freedom.
In doing so, Boyka finds peace with himself. In this film, he shows that he can be a more human and compassionate person. He now fights to help others and to correct his mistakes instead of proving that he is the best fighter in the world. Accidentally killing Viktor changes how Boyka sees himself. He no longer wants to be just a strong fighter but also a better person. Throughout the film, Boyka tries to understand whether his fighting skills are a gift or a curse and looks for ways to use his strength for good. Boyka demonstrates that true strength lies not only in muscles but also in the courage to make amends for your mistakes.
