Expendables, 2012

Other keystars in this film are Arnold
Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham,
Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis, Chuck
Norris and the one who makes our
hearts beat faster ofcourse is Scott
Adkins portraying Hector, the right-
hand man of Jean Vilain.
It's great to see Scott Adkins shine in
a movie with this many well-known
action stars. Scott must have been
incredibly proud to be part of this
cast with legends from the action
history of cinema. What an honor to
be with the people who have inspired
you to do what you do.
And the good news is that Scott
doesn't get overshadowed but rather
explodes on the screen in this film.
Jean-Claude Van Damme is introduced as the main vilain in this film, named Jean Vilain. He delivers a memorable
performance as the charismatic and deadly adversary, adding a layer of charm to his ruthless character.
And the we have the inclusion of Scott Adkins in the role of Hector, the right-hand man of Jean Vilain. Adkins steals
the show as the real badass of the movie. His portrayal of Hector is menacing. Adkins comes across as the ruthless
villain. When face to face with Jason Statham, Jason chooses to take the easy way out and avoid a confrontation with
Hector. Later in the film, they cross paths again in one of the final showdowns of this movie.
One of Hector's responsibilities is to keep the work camp under control and engaged. When the work pace isn't fast
enough, Hector ruthlessly deals with the workers to instill even more fear in the rest. Let's just say you can pray that
you never get a boss like Hector…
Going back in time to 2012, Scott Adkins proved himself as a formidable force in the action genre, solidifying his
status as an up-and-coming star. And the film delivers exactly what fans of the franchise have come to expect:
explosive action sequences, witty one-liners, and camaraderie among the cast members that shines through.
Classic action heroes and the rising talents who continue to breathe new life into the genre.
Scott talked about that 2nd scene with Jason Statham in an interview with ‘screencrush’. Scott told about that scene:
“Well that pissed me off!!” Scott told: “Well, listen, those producers are friends of mine and I want them to give me
another job. But at the end of the day, what the hell are you doing giving me and Jason Statham two days for a fight
scene, and then taking away half a day so you can film some sequence with [tennis star Novak] Djokovic hitting
tennis balls at bad guys, which we knew would never be in the movie? People deserved to have a nice showdown at
the end of that movie. If I was making it, it would have been different.”
