The Trailer:
French (Scott Adkins) and Sue (Louis Mandylor) are back in the debt-collecting business after surviving their last dangerous job. This time, they are hired by their old boss, Tommy (Vladimir Kulich), to collect debts from three clients who owe a significant amount of money. The job seems straightforward, but complications arise when they discover that one of their targets is connected to a powerful drug lord named Molly X (Marina Sirtis). As French and Sue go about their work, they find themselves in increasingly perilous situations, involving shootouts, brawls, and chases. Their straightforward debt collection turns into a struggle for survival as they face off against Molly X's henchmen and other enemies. Throughout the chaos, the duo relies on their fighting skills, wit, and camaraderie to navigate the dangers. The film culminates in a series of intense confrontations, where French and Sue must use all their abilities to outmaneuver their adversaries and complete their mission. In the end, they manage to survive and emerge victorious, albeit battered and bruised, ready for whatever their next job might bring.
One of the best scenes in the movie is when the French and Suer have a difference of opinion so go toe to toe. It’s a brutal painful-looking fight. This put their past argument of boxing vs martial arts to the test. Even during the fight, it has its comedy moments with Sue going for an all fashioned kick in the nuts, French catching him and calling him a sneaking mother fucker maintaining that chemistry. Brutal and painful-looking, the pair receive wounds that stay with them the whole movie and seem to carry on bleeding. The fights are great!
Why a sequel Scott:I have a great time working with Jesse and I had a brilliant experience with Louis Mandylor; we had good on-screen chemistry and those two characters we played we really enjoyed it. So that was the motivation to do the second one to be honest, to try and rekindle that experience. With the way the first film ended it was a bit difficult but I just want to put this out there – If we could have done the first movie again we probably would have ended it differently but it ended the way it ended in a bloodbath. So we’re asking the audience to come along for the ride a little bit and take a small leap in faith and pretend that we weren’t as badly injured as what it might have first seemed. Although we were badly shot up we did manage to make it through. I mean it’s pretty ambiguous as to what happened to my character; did he get away? Did he die or did he not? With Louis character… he looked pretty bad to me but once you get over that hump as the audience and you come along for the ride I think they’re going to have a good time.
“I just want the fans to be entertained and have a good time with the 90 minutes and enjoy a good romp. I’m not trying to cure cancer or change the world; I just want people to forget about the many troubles in life that we’re having at the moment and just not think about that. Somebody once said and I don’t know if it’s true or not but it sounds good to me; that watching a movie is a form of meditation because you’re present but you’re not thinking about the past, present or future. You’re just watching this movie and having a good time invested in that. I’ll be happy if I can just do that for some people.”
