Scott Adkins as Khondor In this episode of Metal Hurlant Chronicles, Scott Adkins plays the role of Khondor, a warrior fighting for the throne of a dying planet in a distant future. In this world, leadership is not determined by heritage or politics, but by physical strength and moral integrity. Khondor has been chosen to represent his people and must prove himself a worthy successor through a series of ritual duels.
After Khondor’s final victory, he removes his armor. Without words, but full of meaning, he reveals his body — lean, muscular, and in peak condition. Adkins’ physique is at its absolute best here: defined, symmetrical, and commanding. His upper body radiates strength, discipline, and dedication. The camera lingers on this moment — not as vanity, but as a visual confirmation of what the entire story has already shown: Khondor is not just a fighter, but a symbol of power. King’s Crown is a compact showcase of Adkins’ talent: three fights, one clear character arc, and a physical presence that is as impressive as it is believable.
Over the course of the episode, Adkins engages in three sword fights. In the first duel, he defeats a brute opponent with controlled technique. The second fight is faster and demands more precision, but in both cases, Khondor proves himself to be a balanced, strategic fighter. In the final confrontation, he faces Astra, played by Michael Jai White — a well-known actor and martial artist with whom Adkins previously worked in Undisputed 2. That shared history is, of course, unspoken here, since it has no relevance to this series — but for fans, it's a treat. Khondor ultimately defeats Astra as well, earning the throne and, in a way, settling the personal score from Undisputed 2 (lol).
